Curiosity and Perseverance are two of the most successful Mars vehicles developed by NASA JPL. In order to avoid obstacles in the Red Planet, NASA engineers developed a unique suspension system called the Rocker-Bogie mechanism. As part of this experiment, children will assemble a full Perseverance rover, in particular, the rocker-bogie mechanism, to understand its advantages to maneuver in unprepared surfaces. With this project, children will learn robotics, mobility systems, electrical connections, and transmission systems, among other disciplines.
